Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20th in 1966) is an American model as well as a TV personality and actress. In the 80s and 90s, she was a popular supermodel with a prominent appearance in magazines and runways as well as in fashion-related campaigns. Her career later expanded to acting and business ventures. In her sophomore year at high school, she received a call from a local store concerning modeling, only to discover it was a joke by two of her classmates. Crawford was among the high school girls employed by another store who also did a fashion shoot. Roger Legel, a local photographer approached Crawford to shoot her photo. He was the one responsible for shooting another college student in DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford became the first cover. [9] She was encouraged to take up modeling due to the compliments and positive photos she received. She began with an agency with a small size. Elite Model Management bought it right after she signed. She was a participant in Elite's Look of the Year contest at the age of 17 and went on to win the finals at the national level.
